Welcome

I’ve started a virtual index of UK green publicly listed companies. I’m mostly doing this for fun: to play around with spreadsheets and as a way of keeping an eye on what the green industry is doing because I find that interesting.

Components

• only UK publicly listed companies, GBP denominated
• only green/net zero investments (right now this mostly means energy) - I exclude companies which I think are just greenwashing (e.g. burning wood for electricity or non-green hydrogen)
• companies are added as I find out about them through various sources

My goal with the blog is to document the current state and evolution of the index. I will do this by publishing a Trading212 pie and some sort of up to date portfolio, that’s maybe a spreadsheet. I also plan to write a blogpost every quarter with any updates to the index components.
